Righto Tax

How it works

You run your business. We sort your books and prepare your quarterly figures. You send them to HMRC yourself with free Making Tax Digital software.

  1. Step 1

    Check where you stand

Our free checker uses the thresholds HMRC publishes to tell you when Making Tax Digital starts for you, and lists every deadline in your first year.

  2. Step 2

    Set up in one sitting

We check your identity (the law requires it) and you sign our engagement letter. We never sign in to HMRC for you or ask for your HMRC login.

  3. Step 3

    Upload your bank statements

Download your statements from your bank’s app or website and upload them. You keep your bank, and you never share your bank login.

  4. Step 4

    We sort every transaction

Each transaction goes in the right box on HMRC’s categories. Where something is unclear, we ask you one plain-English question rather than guess.

  5. Step 5

    You check, you send

Your quarterly figures are prepared and shown to you to check. Your figures come as a file your software imports, and you send them to HMRC yourself with free Making Tax Digital software.
