How do I check my CIS deductions with HMRC? Check your monthly CIS statements against your bank first, then call the CIS helpline on 0300 200 3210 to compare them with HMRC's records. Under Making Tax Digital, from April 2027, HMRC adds its figures to your return. From your contractors. Each contractor sends HMRC a monthly return by the 19th listing what it paid you and deducted. When you file your tax return, HMRC compares the deductions you claim with those returns. Once you are in Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, GOV.UK says HMRC adds your CIS deductions to your tax return, and you can see them in your software or HMRC online services account. Before that, call the CIS helpline. 0300 200 3210, or +44 161 930 8706 from outside the UK. It is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and may ask you security questions.
